Umino is a Japanese female manga artist, based in Tokyo. In 2000, her most famous work, Honey and Clover, began serialization in Shueisha's CUTiEcomic manga mag azine and she received the Kodansha Manga Award in 2003.

Born in 1964, Masahiro Takatastarted his career as a creator in TV commercial and music video industry and became one of the most popular and acclaimed TV commercial director receiving numerous awards.Honey and Clover is his first feature film.
Yoko Kanno, Original music composer
Yoko Kanno is one of the most famous and popular composers known for her performances and musical scores in anime and game titles, such as animes Cowboy Bebop, Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex and many others. Besides anime and games, Kanno also composes for films such as Kamikaze Girls.

Sho Sakurai as Takemoto
Born in Tokyo in 1982, Sho Sakurai joined the pop idol group Johnny & Associates in 1996, and debuted as a member of the J-pop group “ARASHI” in 1999, which has become one of the most popular groups in Japan. Besides starring in numerous TV dramas such as Kisarazu Cat’s Eye (TBS/02), he and his group ARASHI hosts a popular variety show. His film credits include PIKA☆NCHI LIFE IS HARD DAKEDO HAPPY, PIKA☆☆NCHI LIFE IS HARD DAKARA HAPPY and Kisarazu Cat’s Eye Japan Series.
Yu Aoi as Hagu
Born in Fukuoka in 1985, Yu Aoi made her debut as an actress in the musical Annie. She gained recognition for her performances in 2001’s All About Lily Chou Chou and 2004’s Hana & Alice, both directed by Shunji Iwai. She is currently one of the hottest young actresses in the industry. Her remarkable performance in Hula Girls (2006), directed by JapanAcademy Award-winning director Lee Sang-il and selected as Japan’s entry in the U.S. Academy Awards’ BestForeign Film category, gained her a Japan Academy award for best supporting actress.
 Yusuke Iseya as Morita
Born in Tokyo in 1976, Yosuke Iseya made his screen debut in After Life (1999), directed by Cannes-winning director Hirokazu Koreeda. After majoring in fine arts himself at Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, hecompleted a master’s degree in film production at the New York University film school. He has also appeared in Kinpatu no Sougen (1999), Distance (2001), Akai Tsuki (2004) and CASSHERN (2004). He made his directorial debut in 2003 with Kakuto.
Ryo Kase as Mayama
Born in 1974, Ryo Kase debuted in the2000 movie Gojyo Reisen Ki. He has since become one of the leading young actors in Japan, starring in numerous films such as Rock'n'Roll Mishin (directed by Isao Yukisada), Bright Future (directedby Kiyoshi Kurosawa) and Scrap Heaven (directed by Lee Sang-il).
Megumi Seki as Ayumi
Born in 1985, Megumi Seki made her screen debut in Koi ha 5.7.5 in 2005. Since then she has appeared in numerous films, including Christmas in August, Laughing Angel Michael and Sai-Ren.
